Context

  • His fisheries work runs through two employers: ICT for fishers at IFFCO Kisan, then aquaculture programmes and policy at GIZ.

Sandeep's part

  • At IFFCO Kisan, managed ICT-enabled fisheries projects with UN WFP and conceptualised the Secure Fishing App.
  • At GIZ, designed programmes on sustainable aquaculture, contributed to the Assam State Fisheries Policy and to a sustainable aquatic food systems paper supporting NITI Aayog.
  • Co-trainer for the economics sessions of GIZ's Integrated Sustainable Aquaculture in Practice course, Bangkok, November 2026.

What changed

  • GIZ brought him back as a co-trainer on aquaculture economics in November 2026, more than a year after he left GIZ.

In others' words

I have known Sandeep during his time in GIZ. He is very reliable, always ready to lend a hand. He is a team player and fast learner. His expertise on aquaculture is commendable. He can establish and maintain good partner relationships, especially with the Government.
